Key long-term notes from Tesla Q2 Report and Call 🧵
Capacity chart removed "Robotaxi and Others"
New: "Next Gen Platform" at "Various" locations "in development"
Various? Mexico, Austin, Berlin, and China?
Rather than Next Gen in Mexico first and later expand,Tesla will build FOUR factories at the same time, which means rapid vehicle production growth in the next 2-3 years.
This could be 7M+ vehicles in a few years
Cybertruck still listed as Tooling rather than Production
Storage & solar deployed, energy revenue did not grow from previous quarter.
Notes indicate:
1. Solar demand down across industry due to high interest rates
2. Storage deployed is volatile but production still growing
Energy revenue growth lags deployed growth. Wen catch up?
Wild card 1:
@TashaARK
notes from call FSD licensing discussion w/ major OEM - I'm guessing it's Ford
This could be insanely profitable
With the other company paying hardware cost, Tesla would make $15K revenue per car, all of it profit
Wild Card 2 -
@ICannot_Enough
asks Elon about "fleet-based profits". Elon replies with a smirking face.
@MartinViecha
replies with some thoughts
Seems obvious this refers to robotaxi fleet which would be even more insane profits
Discussing the recent court decisions trying to stop Elon and DOGE from fixing waste fraud and abuse
hey Warren, don’t see the full $300T rebuttal in here, are you leaving your daily lie fans on the way side?
